What is all this talk about shaveing in cold water. I rinse my face after shaving with some cold water to close my pores.

There are folks that swear by it over at The Shaving Nook. A site I've been really enjoying lately. If you aren't a member, you should check it out.

Permalink Reply by Harry P Flashman on December 10, 2012 at 9:30am I`ve been doing the cold water shaves for some years, after been led astray by the Hot Water brigade. ;-)
The experience are great, closer shaves with lesser efforts and I`m also drawing less blood from cuts and nicks. I do occasionally indulge in the hot water shave, but my mainstay for day to day shaving are with the cold water.
