I was with the USMC D 2/12, artillery battery. Was there from Dec 1991 until about June 1992 if I remember correctly.

As some one that was over there from the start, through Shield and Storm I will say that counts. The black skies, the sounds of war. If you were over there whether civilian or military it counts. Everyone has there own experience to relate to.

does it count that I was a detainee/hostage in Kuwait when the invasion happened. Then joined the army when I was of age. My mother, grandmother and myself were on the second UN evacuation out of the country.
