Happy New Year to all, the very best for 2012!

I wore a fine brown Harris Tweed to church today, where I was described alternately as "dapper," "snappy," and "natty."  Egad!

Now that the weather has turned much colder are you all wearing your tweed? Any new pieces in your wardrobe for this year?

Do share an images of tweeds you own or have your eye on aquiring : )

I too am commonly told I look like a professor (especially when wearing a bow tie), usually by some lout whose only knowledge of tweed is that he once saw it in a movie.

Started Tweed Tuesdays in college!!

Love the stuff, freshman ask me if I'm a professor and sometimes follow up with a academic question.

Hmph! When I was in my early twenties, tweed was my fashion of choice, even then. Of course, it didn't hurt that I was employed in the museum field at the time, and that tweed nicely reenforced that "academic look".
