Brian that Hamilton is a beauty! I love the simplicity of military watches. The black face with the dark brown leather straps look great!

Okay, so apparently, my pocket watch is magic. I accidentally left it in the wash one day. It came out still ticking, without a second lost. Then I accidentally wound it too hard. (it's my first wind up watch so go easy) and it stopped. That was about two months ago. Then three days ago, in the middle of the night, I heard this noise in the night. It sounded mechanical, but I didn't recognize it anymore. It was my pocket watch! It had decided to start working again on it's own. And when did it decide to do that? Exactly 12 hours from the point in the day it stopped. I mean down to the minute. Heck, I even checked it against my atomically set wall clock and it was right to the second! And it keeps perfect time too. Seriously, If you have a flair for the steampunk or Victorian style, get this watch. You'll be glad you did, it is a tank. Nothing kills it. Well, it may go to sleep, but still. Here's the link http://bit.ly/oNLFWN

Hurry, though at the time of posting there are only 2 left. Also they are only $32!

Chuck, you are right. I am VERY impressed with this watch. Looking forward to my next Christopher Ward watch.

Ooooh...Christopher Ward is a wonderful brand, and beautifully finished.  You're going to LOVE that watch.

I found AoM earlier this year and after a few fits and starts, I've finally become a daily reader. I think the community section is probably going to be even better than the daily posts...

In any case, because of this site, I made the decision recently to stop using my cell phone to tell time. I work for a non-profit in DC and wear suits to work throughout the week, so I needed a watch that wouldn't clash with business attire. I ended up going for the Nixon Timeteller and I love it. With the silver band and black watch face, the pricetag was only $80.
