My shirtless experience usually revolve around situations where only men are there like working out in a gym or playing pick up basketball, or just hanging out with buddies. Recently, I moved in a unit where I get to stay with my landlord and his wife. While it's cool to be shirtless being alone or with us just guys. I felt uneasy to do it when his wife is around. Does anyone feel the same?

I see your point there, I would feel the same I think, different if you were at the beach with friends.

Tarquin, I can totally relate to your issue of being shy when shirtless around women.  I generally go shirtless from the time I get off work until time for work the next day unless I need to go out to dinner or shopping.  I am completely comfortable with this and being shirtless around any guys, but I tend to get very anxious when shirtless around women.  I've tried to force myself to do so in an attempt to overcome my shyness.  I've succeeded most of the time, but have "chickened out" on occasion.  My best advice would be to just go for it.  The more you do it, the more comfortable you should feel in time.

I think that out of respect for her, that I would put on a shirt around the house unless I was in my room. I can see how sometimes she may see you without a shirt on but you could ask how she feels about it.

I think that would be awkward. We dont usually ask people how they feel is someone around them is shirtless

Yes I can absolutely understand that point of being shy. But I most get positive feedback - and most women liked it when I did yard work or construction shirtless.

I think with me she is not grossed with my body. Lol. Even if I dont go shirtless around, I still wear loose fitting, low armhole shirts which certainly shows my torso. She would sometimes ask me if I go to gym regularly and if I take protein shakes.

The only problem I see is if going shirtless around her makes her think you're coming on to her. That would not end well.

Could be...

If I am home I am shirtless.

This time of year if I'm home I am shirtless no matter who sees
Most of the time I am only shirtless around men since they won't think I'm flirting with them like women would. And it does feel good to be able to go shirtless more often now that it's getting warmer where I live

this is definitely not about you - it is about the other people.

If they are uncomfortable, then cover up

If they are cool with it, do as you will
