Hey guys. After I read the recent discussion "Working Outside Shirtless" and read some of the comments that you replied there, I started to felt some inspiration enough for me to go do my running exercise barechested for the first time, ever. I was a bit skeptical at first, but now, I realized that going shirtless in the great outdoor is nothing to fear. I seen some men go jogging and running shirtless, so why can't I? This weekend, the weather supposed to be really nice and this is great opportunity for me to get out there in my shorts and shoes, sweat and enjoy being a proud man.

Hey Chris

Absolutely great to read this - I started running shirtless a couple of years back and really enjoy it.  You feel free, exhilerated and, yep, a real man. I'm guessing you have better weather where you are but it will be shirtless running weather here in the UK before too long.  I tend to mix up where I run; particularly enjoy trail running and country lanes etc.

So go for it, enjoy - and let us know how you get on.

Can't wait for Saturday to get here so I can do some laps around the field. I want to feel sweat run down my bare chest and just enjoy the feeling of being a strong manly man. But I'll be sure to let you guys know on my first experience.

This makes me want to try. I am not running right now as I hate running in winter.

Where I run the chill wind whips off the fields; just can't get into it. But warm weather is coming.

I hope warmer weather will come in your area soon.

Running shirtless outdoors is just one step away from running pantless outdoors. A truly manly thing to do!

I agree! LOL

I run shirtless whenever it's over 60-65 degrees F...more comfortable (I sweat alot when exercising in warm weather and any shirt that I wear gets soaked through) and less laundry to deal with. For the most part nobody cares although I've gotten some weird looks. Right now I train outside with a shirt on as it is still winter..shirtless running season doesn't really start here until late April/early May.

I finally got to the park this morning for a 3-mile run.  I counted just one shirtless guy--me!  The weather is beautiful.  It has not rained in South Florida since last year, and the gray, cloudy morning made for one inspiring day.  The ground is wet, and finally the dried brown grass all over the neighborhood may turn green again.  My run felt wonderful.  There were plenty of people around and even what seemed an entire middle school on a field trip.  Even though it's not South Florida hot yet, the humidity sure makes me sweat, which makes me feel like I actually exercised.

Looking forward to more and more shirtless runs in the park.  Have a beautiful, bare-chested day gentlemen.

HH

I was shirtless for my track interval workout today. It was sunny and temps were in the low to mid 60s (unseasonal for this time of year in my area). It was pretty windy though so i started my warmup wearing a shirt and took it off at the track. Despite the wind it was a great day to be shirtless and I was not the only one..saw several other shirtless guys on the track and on the nearby soccer fields. Overall it was a very manly sweaty shirtless run.

started doing this recently, and in barefoot too. It feels so free!

I'm proud of you guys for including ERB's Martian series!  But, you should  have included Stephen King's "Gunslinger" series.  Best books I've read in a long time!See More
