I originally posted this to the comment wall but figured it might be better as a discussion.  As you can probably tell from these pictures, I've got REALLY hairy armpits.  In the summer time, I wear a lot of tank tops and sleeveless t-shirts, and go shirtless quite a bit.  In many years in the past, I've either trimmed my pit hair down short, or used thinning shears to at least thin it out a bit.  But this year I'm thinking about letting my armpits remain in their natural "Sasquatch" condition.  So my question for you guys is: trim or not trim?

honestly dude,

I really think you should let it be natural.  It looks very masculine and I'm totally secretly jealous.

Your secret is out Jim.  :)

Kevin, go natural. Show what you've got. It's an asset, man!

Does the pit hair show when you don't have your arm raised? If not, you haven't reached Wookie territory, and shouldn't bother trimming.

Which reminds me, gotta do the nose hairs before I leave my place.

Yeah, some whisps of hair peek out even when my arm is down.  You can't really tell it from these pictures but the hair is fairly long.

Mine is the same way.

Keep them natural.  Mine are exactly the same man.  It looks masculine. I wear tanks in the Summer, too, and am proud of mine.

I agree with Will.  I was expecting Tina Turner under there.  They don't look any hairier than the average man's.  I say keep them natural.  As a gay man, my favorite part of a man's body is his armpits.  The combination of sweat and deodorant is the best scent a man gives off.  Smooth, shaven pits are a big turn-off for me.  More and more, I've been noticing straight men shaving their pits clean.  The other day I saw a guy at my old college campus wearing a tank top.  He was clearly flaunting his chest hair, however he was holding up a cardboard sign over his head, and his underarms were bare.  A very strange look.

Enjoy the summer breeze under your armpits and the hair tickling your skin!  Don't trim.

I agree that you should just let it be natural
