I actually changed my political affiliation a couple of days ago to "Bull Moose." I am registered to vote in West Virginia now as a member of the "Bull Moose" party. Waiting on my card.

kinda quiet here.  especially in light of all that is happening in politics with the Republicans falling all over themselves....errrr... i mean, trying to choose a candidate for president.

Hello gentlemen,

 

In thw 1912 Progressive (Bull Moose) Party Platform, it says "We favor the organization of the workers, men and women, as a mean...

 

In that spirit I've created a new group to specifically address the issues of labor. Union Brothers is for union members and supports who believe workers should have a voice in the workplace to better their condition and share in the success and profits of their labor.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone here on this board for making it such a civil and interesting place to be. I have been really busy for the past few months, and as such, have not been on here in a while. I plan on remedying that however. To Ryan Brooks:
History shows that Duverger's Law holds up over time, so a new major party can't rise until one of the existing two splinters or collapses. I would love to see this work but we need a clear, unified philosophy and a major candidate to create halo and coattail effects.

How is the party any different in platform from the status quo? If you look at it we are doing a damn good job of imperialism and government intervention (both hallmarks of teddy). How does the party really differ?

What do you guys think it would actually take to get the Bull moose party back into the lime light? When I talk politics with people, I become suprised with how many people truly beleive we need a 3rd party to even things out. With the principles that the party was founded on, it sounds like something that could work today. Any thoughts on that?

Being a progressive is not a dirty word. The government has stopping working for us and is working for those corprations that are lining thier pockets. Media types like Glen Beck just make the fight of progressive that much more difficult.
