Doesn't matter really It's played out of C/Am relative to the capo. . . Thing about it is the capo in "standard use" is to change the key to fit the voice of the singer. You could play/sing in the real key of C if the singer can handle it. You could also capo and change the chords you play to make it in the key of C. . . blah blah. It is a trick often done in the studio to add texture or to simulate a 12-string.
