Texans make sure and make the Denton Blues Festival this weekend. 92 year old blues legend and Denton staple Pops Carter is performing his last show in Denton and moving to Houston shortly after. All the blues musicians in the Dallas area have been influenced, encouraged or even introduced to the blues via Pops.

I've been away for a little while, but I'm glad to see the Blues group growing...
Love the Pinetop photos. I had the chance to see Honeyboy Edwards a few years ago and I'm still kicking myself for not going.
BB King is playing Allen, Texas later this month and I'm going to try and catch that show for sure.

I've been thinking about it since a freshman in high school and I am finally making the decision. I've talked to the recruiter a bunch of times and he was helpful in answering my questions about the process and logistics. I am enlisting in the USMC.
