Permalink Reply by Josh on August 5, 2012 at 2:35am Wait, I thought we were being lenient on Cook, because English is his second language, and now I find out he's American? Well I just feel silly.
Oh lawds I can only imagine a party of TGD members. We're pro gay marriage! Except we're not! And also we're anti-life and anti-choice. Also we should raise the debt ceiling, and then lower it. We need to cut/increase spending and lower taxes on the rich/middle/lower. Also we love Chick-fil-a because we disagree with their political opinions and pickles are seriously overrated.
I think we should have cake anyway, so Titus can tell us how it's part of the agenda of the liberal media.
Permalink Reply by Mr. Ambitious on August 8, 2012 at 10:05pm There will never be a third major party in the United States. At least not under it's current voting system, First-Past-The-Post (FPTP). F
For the U.S. to have more major political parties, it must adopt a different type of electoral system, one that doesn't favor two parties, like the Two-Round system that is currently being practiced in France, for instance.
However, neither the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party will ever support a change in the country's voting system, for fear that their power will be weakened by new, incoming, third parties.
