Weird question for a man's website, but hey, debate is debate. A friend found this on youtube. I think is sort of captures why I think feminism is dead (or at least dying). I think girls have been told they could do whatever they want (which is true) but the feminist movement from the 60-70s onward also convinced them that they could also have it all too (which is utter bullshit). I think the myth was that men prevented them from having it all, but in fact it was biology. As I've entered my 30s I've met plenty of women who put having a family on the long finger and now they are horribly discovering that they've waited too long and all the promises they've been fed since being little girls are all lies. A 40 yr old man can still find love and a family just as easy as a 20 yr old (easier since he now has experience and money). A 40 yr old woman is discovering that she has already squandered her best options for such. Some are still lucky, others are happy with the choices they made, but I've met more than a few who never knew what was coming.
What do you think?

some folks here ridicule me even when I am sharing personal experiences...
so I think the real question is...
what is missing in the lives of those who ridicule me..?
integrity & creativity & decency come to mind...
Reading this makes me think that you want others to ridicule you (ie give you attention). Makes me wonder what is missing from your life to make you so determined to seek the attention of others.
This is a website about becoming a better man and staying as a better man.
A man stands up for what he believes in, even if others don't. There are tons of christians, I am not. I say what I believe in and stand by it.
There are even more conservatives, there are only a few of us liberals on the site. If I act like you, I shouldn't stand up for what I believe in and say it in my own words exactly as I believe in it.
Stop crying like a child about being ridiculed and be a man and just stand up for what you believe in and say it exactly as you mean it.
I am not going to ever give one of your links the time of day because I don't care about what they say. If you write it out, I will at least read it, even if I think it is horseshit.
Many of the conservatives here think I'm freakin certifiable with my political leanings, but I can guarantee we could go out for some beers or steaks and have one hell of a good time learning from each other and simply enjoying being around other men who have the balls to stand up for something and not have to resort to childish crying.

I am standing up for what I believe in, despite the peanut gallery...
whatever...

*snicker*
Never asked you to be creative or original. I just want you to put it in your own words as you believe it. I am not having a conversation with people on other website that have already published it, I am having a semi-live conversation here.
Is this remotely getting through to you?
Once again, post what you believe in, as you believe in it and stand up for yourself. Or, provide a link that leaves you outs incase people don't agree with you. Which method would you teach to a younger man looking up to you in guidance on values and integrity?

Permalink Reply by Jacob Bauer on June 2, 2012 at 12:20pm "Feminism" was just a cultural cover-up to soften the populace to inflation and the increasing necessity of the two-income household. In that sense, it's always been dead inside.
