Here's a thread for those who have some "conspiracy theories" they want to share... and where everyone (including the OP) gets the opportunity to dispute, debunk, discredit, or dismiss as another unsubstantiated claim of the tin-foil hat brigade...
Here are the most popular ones... according to Wikipedia...
So who wants to lead off..?
He was a radar installation tech who built radar's around the world during WW2 and after. Back in the 80's we were watching Tv together and a show about Roswell came on. He got super excited about it and then told me about a time in the late 40's when he was building a site in NM. One night his radar started tracking a bunch of aircraft coming from the north traveling faster than anything we had. He called it in and the alert aircraft were scrambled. By the time they were in the sky and he was tracking our planes, the targets were well into Mexico.
I actually remember that, first hand...admittedly from my childhood, but still. Wasn't the cover story something about mining the sea floor for bauxite nodules?
Manganese Nodules.... Howard Hughes built the ship, and the mining industry started gearing up to compete with him, figuring if he was into it, it must be doable.
Not bad for a memory from 35 years ago. Pretty close!
Same thing can be applied to conspiracy theories often enough, I think. Sort of like, "Suppose the drug companies are making scads of money on failed AIDS treatments and suppressing a simple herbal cure. And not one of them decided to sell the herb in a legal 'derivative' for a thousand bucks a pop?" or "Suppose oil companies are suppressing an engine that runs practically for free on water. Any idea how much money they could make if they buy the patent on that engine?"
Not only would that drug company make a killing on selling it, they would get a free pass for the rest of their existence because they would henceforth be, "The Company which Cured AIDS."
And if there really was a motor which could run off water efficiently and had been suppressed by "The Oil Companies", Ford would have picked it up and put it in their cars. Patent infringement be damned.
I've developed a system for exponentially multiplying existing food that only requires water, dirt, and energy from the sun...
Yeah, you can't patent that. God claims prior art. You would need to drastically improve on the design. Like Monsanto does.
They'll come after you if you allow pollen from "their" plants to blow into your crop.
Something inherently evil about Monsanto
This one's my favorite:
Zoological conspiracy theories are conspiracy theories propagated by the Arab media and Arabic language websites alleging use of animals by Israel to attack civilians or to conduct espionage. These conspiracies are reported as evidence of a "Zionist plot." They supposedly reflect the reach of Israeli intelligence and the inability of intelligence organizations in the Muslim world to match it, as well as the Arab tendency to blame Israel for internal problems.
you seem to have an obsession with me, JED...
I am posting conspiracy theories that I DONT BELIEVE IN..!
and you continue to harass me with your silly pictures...
You sure are paranoid about what I might say... to feel the need let it be known to this community over & over that you think I am a wing nut fruitcake...
okay we get it... now move along little lady...
