I know what you mean! They are addictive. I have two more in the works. Looking forward to meeting with my artist friend to nail them down and start work.

Thanks Fred, I've seen too many people and heard too many stories about having regrets after it was done. It's my reminder to myself to always bounce back, I've always considered myself a ride out and meet the storm type of person not one to wait for it to hit so it seemed very fitting.

Now my only problem is I have the bug!

Sage, very nice tattoo. I like your decision to wait it out to be sure it's not a passing fad. Too many times people end up with something that they either don't really like or wish to remove it. Great choice, man!

Just got my first tattoo on my left pec oddly enough it was partially inspired by AOM. A few months ago I rediscovered a poem that I had all but forgotten about that I studied in High School. Invictus by William Ernest Henley was a great poem I analyzed then and it has really resonated with me lately. I waited a couple months to see if it was just a passing fad but it wasn't and without further ado, here it is:

Hi. New member here. I am thinking about getting 2 half sleeve tatts in the next year. I want a colourful Koi on one arm and another Japanese looking one on the other. Can anyone recommend good artists in UK or Spain?

Also, I will be hitting the gym again soon so is it better to have the tatts done before or after?

Any advice is most welcome. Thanks

I'm going in next week for number 3...for this year :-)

My wife also got her first and 2nd this year, and will be getting her 3rd one next week also.

Mike, I took my dad to get his first tattoo several years ago. I believe he was about 62 or 63 at the time. He just got his second over the last year at about 68 years old.

Actually I'm happy with the one. It was a good idea.
