Man I listened to Hooker 'N' Heat for the first time today. A Canned Heat/John Lee Hooker album. And I was blown away.

Try listening to some USS if you get a chance. This is my favorite song of theirs. Hollowpoint Sniper Hyperbole is really good too.

Love DKM Oi Oi Oi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fan of Flogging Molly as well ... St. Patty's Day in Boston would be this Irishman's dream come true. !!!!! My son may be moving to Boston next year so that may just become a reality for me.

Wednesday night I went and saw Dropkick Murphys (DKM).

The openers were: The Insurgence (meh), The Flatliners (kind of catchy, I enjoyed them), and The Youth Brigade (didn't really like them).

DKM is some good ol Irish punk. They played a ton of songs. It was a fun, high-energy show, full of Oi! My only problem is that they started at 10:45 which is way too late of a show for a Wednesday night.

Some highlights: "Jonny I hardly Knew Ye" was a fun singalong. They played "Babba O'Riley" which was pretty sweet. They had all the women come on stage for the singing of "Kiss Me I'm S*#$ Faced" which was fun and they had everyone come up on stage for "Skinhead on the MBTA."

All in all, it was a super fun show. It would have been better if it were on a Friday or Saturday night. I'm totally looking forward to seeing them on St. Patrick's day in Boston!

Just saw Korn. It was fun. Not a spectacular set, but it was fun. The last song, all the sound went out :(. It was disappointing.

Oh... So Cal people really don't have a huge appreciation for metal actually. Good luck with that man :(.
