Naterooski I have trimmed 15 lbs roughly just by training for a 5k. I did not change eating habits or anything. I lose the most weight when training for rugby season which is done by interval training. Endomondo app for ipod and droid has intrerval training that helps a lot.

Still rather new to running for shear enjoyment, so far I am loving it!

Hi everyone.  New to this group.  I'm an intermediate runner.  Always looking for advice and motivation.

I have put on about 30 lbs since I got married.  What type of running routines help you lose the most weight?  Lots of new workouts claim that running is not your best choice for shaving pounds.

Another way to feel manly, running with your shirt off.

@ Scott L Ferrell

Im new to the group so I appologize for the delay in response. You asked "How does running make you feel manly?". My answer is fairly simple. Some of the many benefits of running are:

1. Stronger heart rate and blood flow. Meaning longer and stronger errections

2. Increased stamina. Meaning you can stay in the action longer.

3. Increased testosterone levels. Meaning more sex drive.

4. Better figure. Making you more desireable to your spouse.

I cant think of anything more "Manly" than being a beast in the bedroom!

My regards for running it, Charles!

Finished my first marathon this past Saturday. I am glad it is over. I think I will limit myself to shorter races for the foreseeable future.
