What do you guys think about Chris Christie?
It seems that the media loves him right now and is almost preparing his 2016 run for President. I don't believe the media likes us or our positions. They fell in love with McCain. They fell in love with Romney. Now it seems they are in love with Christie. Does anyone remember when they wouldn't even mention Ron Paul's name after he came in second in some states primary? Is there a pattern of the media picking their darling candidate who can easily be beat in the election or am I a lunatic?.

The two questions are not correlated. LOL.

Permalink Reply by Margie on February 6, 2013 at 1:25pm No, you're not crazy. I was wondering the same thing myself. What does it mean if the media embraces him? I LEAN conservative so I don't always understand the Party's stance on a particular issue or candidate. Christie for instance was criticized for his association with Team Obama after the hurricane, but what's the man supposed to do? I mean, his state needed help, lots of it, and Team Obama is the man in charge.
I heard Rudy Giuliani make some positive comments about Christie and that affected me, too, because I think very highly of Giuliani. But mainly, the jury's still out about how I feel about the man. I will say that he definitely needs to lose weight even if he claims to be healthy like he did the other night on Letterman.
Permalink Reply by Mike M. on May 7, 2013 at 4:21pm I like Christie as governor of New Jersey. I'd probably like him as governor of my state, too. But, I don't think that he's the savior of the GOP. Christie's not as conservative as I am, but he's in NJ... He's managed to get more conservative goals accomplished than a number of governors who talk the big conservative talk. But, a lot of his more touted accomplishments are overblown.
I guess I don't feel the need to put candidates into love and hate categories.
