Good Morning Group.......I would like to apologize for yesterday's public altercation.  I do enjoy being part of this group and refuse to let this type of thing happen in the future.....Rick

Welcome, JR!

Hello. I am a new member to the ‘Real Shaving’ group and just wanted to post a brief introduction. I have been shaving real for close to 4 years now. Initially, I started off with straight razors when I first abandoned the C&C setup (cartridges & cans). Since then, I have come to appreciate as well DE and SE razors, of which I use the former most.

My hardware setup consists of 8 razors, the 2 big brothers from Merkur – the Futur & the Vision; a Feather AS-D1 as well as a small collection of vintage Gillette razors: a 1930s Gillette open comb NEW, a 1955 Red Tip, a 1960 Fatboy, a 1960 Flare Tip Rocket and my currently only SE, a 1960 Schick Injector M1 Adjustable. My favourite and most frequently used DE blade is the Feather FH-10 and, for the Schick, the Personna Injector PFTE-coated blades. My preference is face lathering and I am using 2 Mühle shave brushes, one main one and one travel brush, with their synthetic Silver Tip Fibre.

I am looking forward to be part of the community here and to participate in the discussions.

Best regards,

JR

As far as i'm concerned the Astra blades are the best I've used.

parasitical capitalist?     Another country heard from!  where would this country be without capitalism??

14 and counting.

This is the number of shaves I've gotten out of my current Astra blade in my EJ DE89.  I got similar performance out my last Crystal blade.  And based on my beard today, I'd have to say the shave is just as close as it was when I first loaded it up.

Anyone else get this kind of performance out of their blades?

Well since John E. Danger does not behave on the forum like a parasitical capitalist flogging people junk they don't need, he has at least one redeeming quality unlike. The forum is 'real shaving' and not 'garbage collection'. I say keep Jon and use the razor on Richard.

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

Come on Jon E. Danger (HANG AROUND) start at least one intelligent discussion. At least I'm adding to this room, where you on the other hand you are a hater who has nothing of worth to contribute.....GIVE IT A REST OR STAND UP AND MAKE A VALID ADDITION TO THIS ROOM OR GET OUT! I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THE MODERATOR LETS YOU KEEP BEING A "HANG AROUND". AS FAR AS SPAMMING WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? NOONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO YOUR ENDLESS CRAP......
