Don't know if this has been posted here before, but I found this: http://artofmanliness.com/2009/07/21/push-ups-exercises/

I'm still trying to work my way to handstand push-ups (old shoulder injury), but I've had a long-standing love/hate relationship with Hindu push-ups!

The only thing I would add to Jonas fine tips is, when doing your push-ups, tighten your core muscles and your flutes. This not only helps you maintain proper form, but turns the push-up into a full-body exercise.
