I'm very open to any place but I would like to go to Asia/eastern Europe. With my skill set I'm most likely going to be teaching English.

Good luck, Ryan! Any idea what region of the world you'd like to serve in?

I'm in the process of applying to AmeriCorps programs. Just playing the waiting game now. It'll be good to hear from others who have already done it.

I did a year of Americorps with Habitat for Humanity in '96, the best of both worlds...build houses for the needy and get money for college while doing it. My wife use to work for the Americorps Grant program at Habitat. Please ask me questions!

I hope so, that is why I petitioned to have this created since there wasn't one before. Also since I am considering one or the other after college it will be a good way to hear what they are like.

What? There has to be a ton of manly former Peace Corps volunteers out there! I served in Guatemala from 2003-2005 and it was two of the most important years in my life.

"In the fictional world (all this is for the book series I'm writing), they are hunting for food and hides and whatever else the animal can offer.  So that should help a bit.  The elephants as being very sentient and emotional is very…"

"That's very interesting about Roosevelt.  I didn't know that.  It's especially interesting because Roosevelt hunted with Frederick Selous who was one of the real-life people who inspired the character Quatermain."

"Okay, then I don't have a shield and if I did I wouldn't have a symbol on it.  I'm so confused by your line of inquiry here.  You're asking me to take your sarcasm seriously???  Why?"

"I could give you about 500 reasons off the top of my head. But again, that's like asking me if I have proof that purple and blue giraffes don't exist.  If you claim they exist, the burden of proof is on you.  That there is no…"
