Non Superhero Comics and Graphic Novels.

Non Superhero Comics and Graphic Novels.

I made this group for people that may be into comics and graphic novels that don't have super hero content.  Discuss your interest in indie, autobiography, horror, fantasy, etc comics that don't necessarily feature superhero content. Not hating on superhero comics.  This is just a group to explore the lesser known comics and graphic novels out there.

Big fan of Daniel Clowes' Ghost World. Great graphic novel that transitioned well into a film.

Also, a note to Satanist Dan, recommending the Crossed series as a 'good novel without superheroes' is almost akin to recommending A Serbian Film as 'a good foreign film'. I love crossed, but its a comic I'm very reticent to recommend openly to just anyone. That shit gave me nightmares when I first read it.

I'm a massive fan of nearly everything I've read by Garth Ennis, being Preacher, Crossed, Rover Red Charlie, Just A Pilgrim, Caliban, The Boys, and a few other random comics. Fables is also pretty excellent, as are Y: The Last Man, Saga, East of West, and Locke & Key.

Currently I am reading Chew, 100 bullets, big trouble in little china, bodies, fables, and couple of others.  I also read a lot of auto bio graphic novels.  Recently I read blankets by craig thompson.  I also read a few books by jeffrey brown.
