So we've got this group, but no one has started any discussions yet! Where do we all live and what are we doing there? I'm an English teacher/ALT in Yokohama, Japan. I've been living abroad most of…Continue

Damn near! I was in Sydney a few years ago, but I haven't had the opportunity to go back since.

I am currently looking at the pensionado program in Guatemala, as my VA disability will allow a comfortable life, and my international investment business will produce good income without Uncle Sam dipping in.

I spent some time around Subic Bay, Manila, and parts of Southern Luzon. I have been all over the island of Cebu. I have spent a lot of time down further South where you dont really want to be as well.

Where exactly in The Philippine? I was considering Bacolod, since I have friends there.

I live in England and have done so since1999.  I am currently in the process of preparing to move my family back to the US. I moved here simply because at the time the economy was better for me here, not so much the case now.  Even though I have been away so long I have never stopped missing home and can not wait to get back.

"Interesting discussion. I feel that although I've been in a relationship for 4 and a half years (and gotten engaged earlier this year), I'm still learning how relationships work etc. I definitely think there are couples where the love…"

Shannon N. Clark replied to J.S. Price's discussion Are there any remaining places exclusively for men?
"I don't need a man ever, but that doesn't mean that I feel the need to have a place without them. At college when all of us girls have sleepovers or watch movies together a man is there at least for part of it almost every time if not the…"

Penelope replied to Persona non Grata's discussion Men who whine about women?
"From a pragmatic or economic POV, marriageable women out number marriageable men, especially when you set aside biological clocks - because of incarceration rates. Also, for a lot of Western history, most men have been yes men performing ritualistic…"

Penelope replied to J.S. Price's discussion Are there any remaining places exclusively for men?
"My point was that men who want men-only places should work to make and maintain them.  Under the law, it is hard to have a men-only for-profit business.  But that doesn't mean there can't be private functions (like a poker night…"
