I've pretty much given up on any of the cheaper brands. They seem to be more effort than they're worth. However, I've got a couple months of extended outdoor activity in high elevations coming up, and wouldn't mind having warm feet at least some of the time. Any suggestions on a good brand that won't ruin my wallet?

I have never used the foot warmers but I prefer the Grabber brand disposable hand warmers. You can get them in bulk also.
PEET makes several models of boot dryer. Two versions use 115 volts AC and one uses disposable propane cylinders or a bulk adapter. I definitely recommend these for a good start to the day and keeping feet warm.
