I posted this on another fashion forum site, but wanted to cross-post it here to get some feedback from you all...I own mostly neckties in my collection and pretty much wear them 100% of the time…Continue

Bow ties on a budget?

Started by Brown Fox. Last reply by Matthew Schneider Jul 15, 2014. 13 Replies

I want to start wearing bow ties more often, but I only have a formal black one and a very nice patterened gray one. When I shop around for decent self-tie ties, I cringe at the cost. Are there any…Continue

Morning Gentlemen! So, I've been wearing the bow tie. I really dig it. One thing I've noticed is a little bit of fraying on the tops of the bow. My only guess is that it's caused by my coarse facial…Continue

I've recently started wearing the bow tie. I've tried in the past, just wasn't sure how or with what.  After doing some research, I've come to the conclusion that one can put one just about anything.…Continue

My wife bought me a bow tie for my birthday, my first tie-able bow tie (my military ones were the standard hook-and-loop type).  I'm wearing it to work today with a fedora and suspenders.  It looks just like this one:

The seniors at my school decided to have a dress up day last week. Many sported bow ties. All of them were clip-ons or were tied by their sisters. The next day I wore a bow tie so I could teach them all how to tie one. I told them that it was one of the Arts of Manliness.

I have made the vow to wear a bow tie once a week, if for no other reason than I don't want to forget how to tie one. And once I week, I get compliments for wearing one. We are the vanguards of fashion, gentlemen.

Thanks for the reminder Tom.  I wasn't aware of the holiday and will try to find some way of wearing a bow tie tomorrow, even if it is to the gym only.

It's been pretty quiet in here lately, but I thought I'd stop by and remind those in the U.S. that tomorrow, August 28 is National Bow Tie Day..........

Democratic presidential nomination

I was just wondering if I could get a conversation going about who you think should get the democratic nomination for president?  I personally hope it will be Bernie Sanders.See More

Trading Massages With Other Men

I'm a trained licensed massage therapist and when I want to receive a massage, I'd rather trade with another professional or skilled amateur than pay for it.  Because I trained in Miami, I had connections with other therapists there and had some great regular trading partners.   Now I live in DC and I haven't found what I'm looking for.  The men I've traded with were either unskilled or had a different intention than I did.  To get your massage needs met, do you trade or pay for it?  If you do…See More
