I have two kinds of bow ties. One, the ones with a triangular bow. My favorite, however, are the ones that are straight across, without the bow, usually about 2 inches wide. They seem to look a bit…Continue

Started by Brown Fox. Last reply by Matthew Schneider Jul 15, 2014. 13 Replies

I want to start wearing bow ties more often, but I only have a formal black one and a very nice patterened gray one. When I shop around for decent self-tie ties, I cringe at the cost. Are there any…Continue

The seniors at my school decided to have a dress up day last week. Many sported bow ties. All of them were clip-ons or were tied by their sisters. The next day I wore a bow tie so I could teach them all how to tie one. I told them that it was one of the Arts of Manliness.

I have made the vow to wear a bow tie once a week, if for no other reason than I don't want to forget how to tie one. And once I week, I get compliments for wearing one. We are the vanguards of fashion, gentlemen.
