Had all my grammars out last week to write a note to my old teacher to include with a wedding invitation: "Latina est gaudium et utilis. Convenimus in via sub terram legentes Loebis. Legebam Caesari. Legebat Xenophoni." [and if there's mistakes there, please don't tell me]

Currently Translating the Aeneid for class, while on the side translating Cicero's orations. National Latin Exams are coming up soon.

Love it.

Thanks, I think I'd like a good mix of audio as well as textbook learning...my attention span for textbooks isn't what it used to be!

The Latinum podcasts (audio versions of the Adler textbook course) isn't so expensive, maybe I'll get the first one and see how I go...

Marc: I don't know which is your preferred learning style, but if you like old, public domain text books, check out http://www.textkit.com/

Does anyone know of any decent free courses available online? I'd love to learn Latin, but don't want to invest any money until I know I'm serious.

I'm looking at Latinum now, but looks like the lessons are only available on YouTube... for free anyway :/

Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm a post-grad at Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). I am in my second year of latin using the Oxford texts. We are on to the reader now and while I miss the adventures of Quintus it is good to be finaly sinking my teeth into the real thing.
