I just love jazz on Sunday afternoons like most South Africans. Thank you for acceptance to the group.

OK, so, the wife and I are planning a trip to NYC later on this year.  She wants to do the whole Late Night TV thing (Letterman, SNL, like that) and Broadway.  I have a couple of things I want to do myself, so, anyone from the Apple who is in the know in this group, I'd appreciate any help you can offer.  A) How difficult is it to get into the Jazz at Lincoln Center complex?  Do I need to order tickets ahead of the trip, or can I pick up good seats by walking up to the box office? Also B) How prevalent are jazz shows outside that complex, is there a certain section of town I need to go to, like 52nd Street used to be, or, is it just no longer there?  Any help is appreciated.

Found another one I'm liking as well ... http://www.jazzradio.com/hardbop
Hard Bop is my favorite of all the jazz flavors and most of jazz collection is from that style.

Say Hey William, I'm able to stream your jazz station you referred us in iTunes under the radio area ... nice thanx for the head's up. :)

Give it a try Michael, there is a haven from smooth jazz. The station Jazz.fm has more listeners outside of Greater Toronto/Buffalo NY courtesy the web and their iPhone app than over the air.

Thanx William, I will give that link a spin. We too have a full time jazz station http://www.wjzlonline.com/
but I don't listen to it a lot because of to many commercials and the fact they say "Lansing's SMOOTH Jazz 27 times an hour.

Just to throw out an online resource to my fellow AOM jazz fiends, I am very privileged to live in a city with a almost 24/7 jazz station (Saturday night is blues programming). If you are in the Greater Toronto/Buffalo NY area, you already know about 91.9 Jazz.fm. For those elsewhere, you can hear them online at: http://jazz.fm

A little something from Canonball Adderley's Something Else Album: Autumn Leaves.

Fitting since Summer is winding down fast in my neck of the woods.

That is a fantastic album, Ron. One of my favorite Miles albums
