Need some advice on building a shed.  I'm reasonably intelligent, not afraid of work and can jury-rig the hell out of a project, but I've never built anything remotely structural (a lean-to in survival training doesn't count).  I've committed to building the stick building the thing from the ground up rather than using a kit mostly as a learning event.

Any advice from the group?

Thanks in advance,

Hi all,

I just did the stupidest thing.  We had a slab leak. The plumbers and I chose to take the hot water line over head in the attic until they could tie into the line under the pier-and-beam portion of my house.  As I was removing junk from the top shelf of a cabinet, I fell and am now at home for 5-7 days because I fractured several ribs.  Smart move huh?

I've been busy for a couple of weeks remodeling my daughter's room. The house is 80 years old and has presented a few challenges. That is the type of work I enjoy most. I like the problem solving aspect of remodeling & renovating. We removed the old chimney from the house about three years ago. This permitted the expansion of the downstairs bathroom. And now, I have grabbed an extra foot to use in making a decent sized closet in my daughter's room. I am re-utilizing a set of bi-fold doors that I took out of my son's house about 7 years ago. This has kept the cost low.

Hardest Project is drywall work. Those guys really earn their funds & as you can see from my pic, bending over to do the lowest two feet would not be possible with me. Maybe by the gal I'm with...

I've been forgetting to post my house stuff here. Been working on leveling cement floors and laying tile this weekend. A couple of the guys left suggestions on my thread about the big hole in the floor and by golly THANKS GUYS. I got a pint of premix patch and that did the job right quick.
