Hi. I'm a second-time at-home-dad. I'm writing a blog series about it in my AoM blog, if you'd like to hear my story and how it's going from week to week.

Hey, J.A. Welcome to the group. I feel you, man. It's great being home with the kids but I definitely look forward to being back at work. I'm sort of in process of figuring out what I want to do "when I grow up". The music teaching thing wasn't my cup of tea.

I got layed off nearly six months ago and my wife works days. I have a two year old daughter. So basically I went from being an over the road trucker to a stay at home dad overnight. I love spending time with her but looking foreward to going back to work in this crappy economy.

"Nah. The shutdown in the fall of 95 was like 21 days, there weren't any shutdowns before 1976, and only a handful between 1976 and 1995 - all for just a few days. I stand by the shut-down during the Clinton Administration being the first major…"
