Hi, all! Just found this group, and I am excited to see it!

I was in the advertising & graphic design business for a long time as a creative director, designer and project manager. My career has taken me further into marketing and promotion management and user experience, but I still dabble. I'm hoping I can add some value here, especially representing the "customer perspective."

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

I still have and still maintain a traditional print portfolio.  I'm constantly updating it and looking for new ways to freshen it up.  I find that when you go to meetings, a lot of folks really like to flip through it as you talk and pass it around to their colleagues.  If they like what they see, it boosts their confidence in my abilities.  If they don't there are no games they just tell me outright. It also shows professionalism and preparedness that I show up with samples to show them.

I no longer have a general online portfolio - and never had a one page online one. I do still have a PDF portfolio I will send.

I still have my print portfolio. Tho it is overdue for a refresh.

SJH - you just have to remind them that A. the software is only a tool, not the designer. And B. You know it better.
