Was out early this morning fishing for coho salmon off the ocean beach on a low tide. Didn't catch anything though- it was my first serious salmon fishing trip. Beach was already fairly busy when I got there (~5:30 am) however action was overall slow-saw only 2 guys with fish. It's still early in the season for them and the fish are expected to pile up near the river mouth in the coming weeks as the water level remains low during the dry summer weather.

FINALLY, after working 60-70 hours a week, I get to go fishing for the first time this year. I only caught a small 4-5 pound channel cat, but it was wonderful just to finally be out fishing this year...

Here are two of the three walleye I caught during opener weekend this year. The first one is a 20" fish and the second one is 23".

Both were put back because they were not in the slot limit on the lake I was fishing on. Both fish were caught on lindy rigs with a plain hook and a leech.

Well finally got the boat out in MN yesterday and got some fishing in. Caught a few, but the outing was mainly to break the boat in for the season and make sure everything was functioning properly.

After 3 hours of working on wiring in the boat and another 3 today on the trailor, everything is finally working how it should be. Opener is this weekend and its almost bigger than christmas for me.

Hopefully I will have some pictures for you guys next week

"One time my great grandfather got pulled over; the cop must have thought he was drunk. The cop then learns that he was reading his Bible. While driving. Got off with a warning. So maybe if you keep a Bible open you can BS your way out of a ticket."
