Leather Lid

Started by Chet Hand May 27, 2012. 0 Replies

I recently picked up a new Lid and just put it in service.  I had used a Bullard LTX for over 5 years prior, but noticed that they have a tendency to crack on the back and sides of the bill.  After…Continue

Was a member of an all volunteer fire department for 32 years and hung up my boots in '08. I miss it dearly, but knew it was time. My father taught me that when I first joined up. Just wish it wasn't so emotionally painful.

I am a member of the local Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service in Western Australia. I passed my practical assessment this week, I have my Bush Fire course next weekend and assuming I pass that I can go to fire calls.

It's the manliest thing I've ever done & it's great being involved with such a selfless group of people who give up so much of their own time to serve the community.

Just joined AOM and the Firefighter's group.  Still getting used to how the forums work.  Probably the farthest north Firefighter... Fairbanks, Alaska.

One other thing, someone should write to get RED ADAIR featured on AOM. You can't get more manly than he was! Gutsy, technically-brilliant, good speaker, and unique.....

Hey I just joined AOM and the fire fighting group.
I'm not a fire-fighter, Im a fire protection engineer. This past fall, I for professional development took a 1-week maritime firefighting course. All hands on, real fires, high-rise machine rooms, industrial fires, etc. Lots of fun, and I will take more hands stuff.

For shure the experience made me a better designer, and can communicate better with the AHJ's.

Need girl advice

I'm sorry this is so long, but I need some serious advice about a girl.  This question is the sole reason I actually signed up, though I've been frequenting this site for years.  I have been dating this girl for six months.  Was dating, rather.  I just broke up with her yesterday.  You see, I'm madly in love with her, but I think it was just the wrong time for us to possibly work out.  I'm getting deployed in July and will be gone for almost a year.  She is going to Europe for two months…See More
