Does anyone else use YouTube to find and watch old gems that would get very few air time these days .
I watched of mice and men , Burgess Meredith was great . After it was finished I looked through the recommended section and thought I would just watch the Sinise/Malkovich ending , and I have to say I enjoyed the first one .

Huell Howser passed away last Sunday. It was wonderful, the way he took such an interest in the people and places of California and elsewhere. He always came across as genuine, kind, and down-to-earth.
May he rest in peace.

WD writers. Please don't kill off Hershel! He's a good character. And while I intensely disliked him when his ignorance led him to harbor Barn Walkers, he has fully redeemed himself. He felt shame and acknowledged his wrongdoing (the bar scene). And he let Rick call the shots thereafter. Please stop killing off our beloved characters!

Btw, good call on Dale. He was extremely annoying.

"He was simply an exciting film maker who made the kind of films I loved and wanted to see – and I will miss him for that."

@JB: My wife is a bigger Batman fan than I am. Might have something to do with Christian Bales...

I think you might be the only one.  I'm seeing it at the IMAX on Friday evening.  Even my wife has been talking about it.

@LShields: I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Am I the only guy that just doesn't care about the new Batman movie coming out this week? I love a good action movie, and have enjoyed the hell out of some comic book movies, but the last Batman really wasn't either, it just bored me with over the top, beat you over the head "messages" that I just didn't care about the action.

Run fat boy run

Any good hints, tips, ideas for a fat boy(me) who is doing the couch to 5k program? We just finished week 1 and my biggest problems are my shins/calves. I just don't have any lasting strength there anymore, that and I am 50+ pounds heavier than I was in college when distance running was hella easy. Tonight is start of week 2. One thing I did work on the last session was pay attention to my form as in trying to remain upright rather than lean forward and to think about how my foot struck the…See More

How can I get a good workout?

I primarily work on my legs, but I want to gain more physical strength. I don't have a gym membership, so I do everything at home. However, I do have a pair of 10 pound dumbbells and ankle weights, and a 25 pound dumbbell I use for sumo, pile, and wide squats. It's somewhat heavy and it works my lower back so it does the job. My workout consists of:10-20 pushups10-20 single leg pushups10-30 body squats5-10 pile squats5-10 sumo squats5-10 wide squats10 bird dogs10 weight bird dogs10 weight…See More

Are Muslims Silent or Is The Media Negligent?

In a relatively short period of time we have seen two horrific assaults; the Boston bombing and the London mutilation of a soldier. Both were committed by Muslim terrorist (or extremists if one wants to be politically correct).  In both cases, I was pretty shocked by the lack of response from the Muslim communities. When Catholic priests were exposed as molesters and the local bishops as enablers in covering it up, I recall many Catholics, myself included, vocally outraging against these…See More
