I've just been seriously looking into hiking the AT, John. Mentioned it to my brother, and he's all about going with me. This is an experience he and I would like to share together with our sons one day.

I'd like to expand his reading horizon beyond contemporary fiction....
I'd like to get him (and his sister) back into Thoreau's ideal of walking and observing.
I'd like to keep working with him on being self reliant, and not depending on electronics for instant entertainment.
