So here's a question.  If money, travel, and all were of no concern, what's the one thing you would like to do with your son?  Do you think it's possible?  Have you done it?  Describe or tell, please...

Hike the AT.  Short of that, hike Philmont with him.  I got to go twice, and my dad went the second time.

I've just been seriously looking into hiking the AT, John. Mentioned it to my brother, and he's all about going with me. This is an experience he and I would like to share together with our sons one day.

You need to read " a walk in the woods " by Bill Bryson , that got me interested in the AP trail .
My boy & I are going to restore a classic car. He is 7 at the moment so he doesn't even realise that he will be helping to build his his car when gets his license at 16.

Awesome!

There isn't just one thing I'd like to do with the boy.

I'd like to expand his reading horizon beyond contemporary fiction....

I'd like to get him (and his sister) back into Thoreau's ideal of walking and observing.

I'd like to keep working with him on being self reliant, and not depending on electronics for instant entertainment.
