I like this video because I think it speaks to what drives exploration in all of us and reminds us that there is still much to explore. That being said, I'm not sure how effective it will be at winning people over to the idea that space exploration is something that we must continue right now, in light of the current financial times. While the drive for exploration lives in all of us, as pointed out in the video, in a historical sense the actual explorer has usually been the rarest of people. They are the singular person among us all who is ready and willing to risk loosing everything; loved ones, professional reputation, financial security and their very life, to push the boundaries of our knowledge and experience firsthand and report on where none have dared go before. I think that  President Kennedy best encapsulated the explorer's spirit long ago in his speech that urged us to go to the moon; 

"We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win..."
