I am 20 years old around 155 pounds, and I consider myself skinny, but I have unwanted fat on my chest and I want to eventually look better with my shirt off. I also work at a pizza place, therefore I eat pizza for dinner at least 3 times a week. I don't diet, but I also don't necessarily over-eat. I swam for my high school 5 years ago and at this time the man boobs finally, mostly, disappeared. What are some good tips to get rid of these once and for all? Tips that include workout routines and diets? Also I would like to keep eating pizza only because it is convenient and free when I'm working. Anyway to keep the pizza and still lose man boobs?

Well, it's good news- Bad news time. Can you get rid of your man boobs? yes, with some effort and discipline. Can you continue to eat pizza at the rate you are now? Not likely. The sad fact is that fat formed from unburned carbohydrate calories has a tendency to accumulate around the abdomen and chest area. My best advice would be to pack you own meals, and try to tilt the bulk of your calories you consume to lean protein and produce. That's what has worked for me, but discipline is vital regardless. Tailor your caloric intake to your level of activity, and also remember that proteins, produce, and complex carbohydrates (think beans, whole grains, ect) take longer to digest and will keep you satisfied and energized for longer periods of time. A good analogy is a bottle rocket (simple carbs) vs a diesel engine (proteins, produce, and complex carbs). the first will result in a quick burst of energy, but will be over soon. The second takes a little longer to get started, but will keep going for a long, long time.

 As a former swimmer, you should have fairly well-developed pectoral muscles, so a well-disciplined regime of pushups and low weight/ high rep bench presses should trim off those unwanted mounds fairly quickly. I would also try to get back into swimming a few days a week, focusing on breaststroke and butterfly strokes. I also used to have a problem with man boobs, although mine was from a hereditary condition that eventually required a mastectomy to get rid of once and for all. Not much in the way of any big secret.  Eat less, move more.  That is a lot of carbs tho.  Try just eating the toppings and not the crust.

Thanks to all for the advice, I need to limit/cut down on the amount of pizza I intake. The place i work at also offers salads, I ate nothing but salads for a week when I worked. It resulted in me just getting burn out and sick of salad pretty quick.

Then pack your lunch at home and bring it to work. Turkey sandwich and hard boiled eggs are great. 

Not all pizzas are made equal. Some are very high in calories, while some are still acceptable. Assuming you order your own pizza, try to choose those that are lower in calories. Pick thin crusts. Ditch the cheesy ones, and choose tomatoes. Tomatoes are good. Meat is good too. Too much toppings are bad. These are just some examples you can lower your calories intake.


Also beware of salads. While it is good on its own, the toppings are not. Oftentimes it is loaded with saturated fats and sugar. Eating salads don't make you full either. Try to eat more meat to satiate your hunger.

Since pizzas are high in calories, this is your prime time to bulk up. Go to the gym and lift weights. You will see muscles in no time. Muscles increase your metabolism, helping you burn fat even when you're not moving.

Another tip about pizza that works, when you get the pizza, blot the top of it with a paper towel, it absorbs grease so you wont. 

Visit gynecomastia.org for more info. True manboobs is not fat but a lump of glandular tissue sitting on top of your pectorals. It could not be removed via exercise. Only surgery could remove it.

I had that done in 1975 when I was 17, it changed my life. 

I've done some research on this subject and it seems the culprit is carbs: mainly wheat and sugar. A diet of protein, fruits, Veggies and nuts/seeds along with weightlifting and some cardio is the ticket to getting rid of abdominal fat. Dude, get a handle on this now; turning 30 is a bitch!
