I have a few basics that I like to carry every day.  I keep them in a basket on the dresser and every day toss them in my pockets.

- Vintage Buck 307 folding stockman pocket knife, front left pocket.

- Small Surefire KL1 tactical flashlight, front left pocket.

- Leather wallet, back left pocket.

- Small leatherbound notebook for tracking things, back right pocket.

- Pencil in the front shirt pocket.

- Smith and Wesson mod 642, .38spl revolver, front right pocket.

- Fire department pager, on belt.

- Cowboy hat, and leather HH cowboy boots.

These are my every day, any occasion items that are always with me.

I don't usually carry a whole lot of stuff:
Insulin pump
Cell phone
Wallet
Keys
Kahr CW9

Have invested in a Maxpedition Fat Boy Versapack so I can start carrying a glucometer in order to keep better control of my blood sugar.

Kyle - with a stag, or bone handle, that's a great choice. I carry a Case Stockman. One of the smaller Opinel (#7 or #8) are nice too - they are a late 1890s pattern, pretty much unchanged.

I came across this group by accident and was intrigued by the name.  Who would have thought that someone would think of a group like this.  I guess in a way it makes perfect sense.   Since the majority of us don't carry a "murse" and usually not a briefcase, all we have left are our pockets.   I am pretty picky about what I put in my pocket.  In the past I carried a small pocket knife but found if a hole formed I would lose it.  So now I don't tend to unless I am wearing a blazer or jeans.  Dress pants are not good for pocket knives.  I have a very slim wallet, a business card holder and my Moleskine.  Very seldom do I carry change.  Unfortunately I still wear a phone case on my belt.   A handkerchief in my back pocket.   My life is still undergoing a transformation as I lost my wife a few months ago.  I am trying to re-establish places to keep my everyday carry.   Feel free to check out my web site.  www.cognitivecompost.com
