The sad reality of our world is that one day, we have to take up paid employment.
This no doubt erodes the spirit and robs us of time which would be otherwise used for drinking absinthe, poking a fire with a stick and conceiving dastardly plans.
However, gambling debts must be paid so I ask the question; what would be an ideal career choice?
I'm rather keen on the title 'Man about town' or 'Raconteur'.
What of yourselves?

Permalink Reply by Curt Bolding on April 30, 2012 at 2:26pm Goes without saying, old chum. For myself, I am a:
Master of Adventure
Dreadnought of Chicanery
Heir to the Western Dream
Adventurer, drinking and travelling companion, teller of tales, tightener of loose women.
Permalink Reply by Curt Bolding on April 30, 2012 at 6:48pm Eh? Tightener of loose women? Is there a particular wrench or something for that? I'm all thumbs, I'm afraid... don't know anything about tools. Gow, my pygmy gardener, usually handles all the repairs around the bungalow. Expect he'd jolly well like a go at climbing one of these Mildewvian loose women.
I used to have a good kit for it but, now I just use duct tape.

Permalink Reply by Curt Bolding on May 6, 2012 at 8:42am Another possible career choice, especially here in the Colonies, might be that of "Emperor." The position has only been held the once, I believe, by the estimable Norton the First.
Permalink Reply by Steve_J on May 7, 2012 at 4:04am Diamond thief or safe cracker seem like excellent career choices.
Permalink Reply by The Dutch Dastard on May 14, 2012 at 2:08pm How about tailor for the emperor? It was indeed a nice little nothing he was almost wearing the other day......I think I could fix him up with a whole set of those!
Permalink Reply by Steve_J on May 16, 2012 at 4:14am I'd have to specialise in ladies invisible clothing. No riff raff either.
