I live in northeastern Maryland on I-95, halfway between Baltimore and Wilmington, Delaware.  (I joined this group because it's the closest thing to a Maryland group here at AoM.)

Does anyone here do GORUCK obstacle courses?  I just registered for my first GORUCK event, to be held in the Washington, DC area on Saturday, July 4.  It is in the GORUCK LIGHT category (7-10 miles).

Cobbler in the DC area?  I'll be in DC for the next week.  I would like to get my shoes shined at a place that can do a good job and is likely to have the right polish color.  Does anyone have a favored place?

His Holiness, Pope Francis, has a warning sign posted outside his office door.It begins "VIETATO LAMENTARSI"In English, "WHINERS PROHIBITED."The sign ends with “To get the best out of yourself, concentrate on your potential and not on your limitations. Stop complaining and take steps to improve your life.” The same advice, in a far, far blunter form, is found in a book."Shut Up, Stop Whining, and Get A Life: A Kick Butt Approach to a Better Life."--Larry Winget, 2004See More
