I'm not a Catholic, but I hear many Christians say Catholics (most, not all, depending on their specific beliefs) are not really Christian, and that they go to hell. I really don't have a big opinion on the matter though.

Any opinions on this?

Actually, Baptists play at Baptism and Communion. They're merely empty rituals, devoid of sacramental activity, for Baptists. They are nothing but mere "symbols" with no Divine presence.

As for "salvation" being the deciding factor, please prove that the dogmas of the Baptists lead to salvation.

please prove

Are you a Baptist and speaking from your own perspective? Or are you trying to tell others what their faith means for them?

Neither one, of course, represents fact.

Huh?  That's one of the core doctrines of Baptist theology.

There is a difference between something which is symbolic, and something which is "merely empty ritual."

Also, not all Baptists know the difference.

The language used for this post, is what is problematic. Especially once you get into the "please prove salvation" mess. One could say the same of any dogmas.

There's no need to prove anything to you.  I'll answer to the same authority you will, when the time comes.  Fear not for me.

It was more meaningful when you were high?

I don't catch your meaning.

That post was in response to one of Will's posts.  I don't know where his went nor why my response is here.  Thread error I guess...

It was just a bad pun that I couldn't resist.

I erased it when it became fodder for ridiculing the sacrament.

No offense intended.  I apologize.

"Tradition isn't the deciding factor.  Salvation is."

It's a word.  We had it first.

"Baptists do Baptism and Communion ... FYI."

But they believe that they are symbolic, not efficacious.  They do not believe that God acts through Sacraments.
