FYI, FIrefly and Serenity are both back up on Netflix for instant viewing online (or on your smartphone, Wii, PS3, etc).

For those of you who don't already have both on Blu-ray, that is... :)

I just put Serenity on my Zune... Gonna rewatch it whenever possible now.

Just finished watching the series + Serenity for the sixth time... thinking of starting it again from the start.

Truly one of the finest pieces of fiction put to any medium.

Oh we don't watch it for the "mysteries" we like the interplay between Castle and Beckett and the two sidekick detectives... for us it is more about the relationships than the crimes. We try to guess the real murderer as soon as possible. I think our record was like 5 minutes in to an episode... they follow a formula pretty rigidly.

I have to agree that Castle is mostly a snoozefest. Without Mal it would be canceled already. I watch it because Mal is hilarious, the relationship with Beckett is entertaining, and occasionally there will be an interesting storyline. But it is mostly one hour crime drama suspense as usual - which means no suspense, btw.

Re: Castle-

Sure, but it's still sub-par compared to most other crime dramas (The Mentalist, anyone?). If it weren't for our shiny cap'n, I can't imagine that I'd be too concerned about keeping up on it.

My wife and I have started watching Castle and I am loving the show... lots of subtle pop culture and geek references.
