Greetings. I am an American from Tennessee, but I'm applying to Herefordshire and Ludlow College for the Blacksmith program. So I will be moving to England for at least 5 years.

I have an interview in a few weeks, and I am at a bit of culture shock trying to figure out how to present myself in dress and in interview manner. It is a day long process, which starts with a welcome/tutor presentation, then an assessment of literacy and numeracy, then a tour of the facilities, including the blacksmith shop which there will probably be people working in (so soot and smoke in the air most likely), and lastly the interview with a tutor.

I'm not quite sure what to wear. Also, I have an earring, and am wondering if I should get a clear plastic stud put in for the interview?

Cheers,

Hunter F.
