Jake... the step is admitting you have a problem! I do too drink Coors Light when I want to drink a "common" beer. Not that there is anything wrong with that!
I think alot of you guys are having trouble of where the line draws with cheap beer so let me help clarify.
number 1 = If you put fruit in it, its not cheap.
Number 2 = most likely if you find it at a bar on tap, its not cheap. (beside the good ol' American domestic)
number 3 = If you say you dont drink cheap beer and you put down the cheapest beer you drink which is still pricey, its not cheap.
number 4 = If its imported, its not cheap.
number 5 = If you dont start a fight, break up with your girlfriend, go home with a paticular class of females when you drink it, its not cheap
number 6= last but not least if anyone else has heard of it, it is not cheap. (not including the true cheap beer; Domestic, PBR, Lost Lakes, Minnesota Brew, Strohs, Steel Reserve (ouch those will get you fightin), etc.
Your welcome future Poster's.... Sorry Michael for putting this on yours I wanted people to see it before they posted another 12$ six pack on here. Happy drinking to all, and salude to you if you can drink expensive beer all the time.
reply to your rebuttal of number 4 - I am sceptical on those prices, tecate can be pricey at liqour stores and there is nothing like a tecate in a ice & lime chilled and salted mexican mug from your local favorite restraunt. Can tecate's are good though on the lake so you have a slight point there.
Reply to your rebuttal on number 6 - I did not forget to add tecate because it does not belong, it is an Americanized import beer sold in every mexican restraunt and is a whole other ball game. Still good I add but not on my list.
And as for your reply on number 5 my good sir, number 5 was merely a joke for cheap beers. If you are drinking beer for the purpose to "feel something" than maybe beers, you should not drink.
(Iv'e never heard of cleaning day beers and i promise if you drink an 8$ 12 pack of 8.1% steel reserves you will go to that thus the joke part of my joke)

Hms. I dunno if i have a "Cheap" beer, tho I guess the closest thing I drink that comes to cheap beer would have to be either Yuengling or Sam Adams (usually whatever the seasonal is)
I order Yuengling most often. Maybe it's because I'm from PA and it's everywhere, but I really enjoy it. And as for the cheap stuff, sometimes I'll get Lion's Head. It's also from PA and it tastes like a cheaper Yuengling.

Gotta agree with Artimus here with Yuengling. In college, I was high on the hog if we got a case of Yuengling (compared to the swill we used to drink).
Now, if I want a cheap but good beer, I go straight to Yuengling. It's cheap, tastes great and has a full body, none of that water down stuff.
Jamie I too grew up in Michigan and must admit I too drank Stroh's as a young man. I haven't had a Stroh's in years. The last time I did I wondered why we drank that stuff back then, but our youthful indulgences did not care for quality at that time, just quantity!
Oh and Jeff.... I still have a Rolling Rock once in awhile!
My name is Mike.... and I have drank Stroh's, an occasional Rolling Rock and more Coors Light than I care to admit to.
Michigan Man here and lived in Oklahoma for 2 1/2 years, drank many cans of Strohs. As a matter of fact my ex in-laws were distributors for it so it was ALWAYS around.
