It's almost time for no shave November. Looking forward to growing the full beard back for a few months.

I too am about to reach the years mark and may need to trim it shorter again. Anything you wish you did before you trimmed it? Any suggestions to get through the stages of loss faster? Lol.

Anyone have a recommendation for blood-stop pencils (such as styptic)?

Well, I officially have a Yeard, I think. And it's also today that I have my hair cut. Since it appears that the long beard does not make me look more attractive, but less, I shall have my barber trim up my beard (and, thus, elate my wife, who likes my beard short).

Good bye, long beard -and good by 5 minutes of prep in the mornings.

Mongoose - Violin rosin is hardened and nearly glass-like rather than tacky. I think in fly tying, it's meant to give a hardened smoothness, rather than tackiness to the thread. I'm not sure how it would work in your wax, but I don't think it would have an effect like the one you desire.

Does anyone know if adding a bit of violin rosin to my wax concoctions will make the concoction tackier for my beard (thus mimicking Wacky Tacky)? It seems that it is used in tie flying.

Personal and Political Advice from Rome.

His Holiness, Pope Francis, has a warning sign posted outside his office door.It begins "VIETATO LAMENTARSI"In English, "WHINERS PROHIBITED."The sign ends with “To get the best out of yourself, concentrate on your potential and not on your limitations. Stop complaining and take steps to improve your life.” The same advice, in a far, far blunter form, is found in a book."Shut Up, Stop Whining, and Get A Life: A Kick Butt Approach to a Better Life."--Larry Winget, 2004See More
