I say fellows, glad to see some other properly whiskered chins!

Thanks Chuck. I have to admit, it was looking a bit scruffy. I found a Kurdish barber here this morning and he smartened it up for me. A few more weeks and it should fill in nicely.
I am at the 5th week of my growth and i Have an interview for a job. I need to trim a bit...any suggestions?
@BrianS, how scruffy do you look?  There are a number of people on the various beard boards who give this advice...  Line up the edges, especially by carving a neckline.  This makes it look like a new, but intentional beard.  Un-edged, especially in the early stages, it would otherwise look sloppy.

And, on a secondary note, congratulations on the interview.  Good luck!

Nick G: It's not a bad thing to get carded especially when you're older.

M: I've started dyeing my beard because I'm too young to look so old (yeah I know, vanity). However, I have red hair so it's hard to match with what products are on the shelf.

Ryan, If you are past the itchy stage and like the way your beard looks keep it. I shaved everything off in December and immediately regretted it. I looked like I was 15....That day I got carded at my local convenience mart....lol.

I'm with William. If you want to let it grow, do it. People will get over it.

Let it grow! I understand the odd comments you may be getting, I get them too. But wear it with pride 'cause it looks good. Personally, I think it annoys the Great Architect of the Universe when the gift of a great beard is given to a man and he keeps shaving it off.

Finally got my beard to the point where I am starting to get looks and comments in public. Not sure to keep growing or go for a trim.

Thanks for the advice Robert.

The Great Debate

"Iron sharpens iron." A place for men to impact each other by debate and exchange of ideas. This is a group where no ideas are off limits. If your motto is, "I never talk about politics or religion," this group is probably not for you. A "gym" for thinkers.See More
