Goatee. I used to wear a full beard every Fall/Winter for hunting season. However, it has gone so gray I look like Santa Clause.  My goatee is salt and pepper, mostly salt, and my wife loves it. It looks distinguished without me looking so much older. Plus, I love it when we have oral sex since the scent can stay in my beard (even after a shower) reminding me of the fun we had together.

Rick, this group is apparently pretty candid. I thought that was only esoteric info. I guess however guys are pretty much the same.

Goatee and moustache is my pick. I like the beard bet and keep it most of the time.

Goattee, soul patch, moustache, but not muttonchops.  Still, I prefer mine full.

Will, enlarge my vocabulary please... what is a soul patch? I have a full beard now. Used to wear a goatee. Since I am not sure what a soul patch is, I can't say if I have ever had one of those.

A soul patch is the hair under the bottom lip. Lots of jazz musicians wore them during the height of bebop. Here's a picture of Dizzy Gillespie sporting one:

Tom Waits and Frank Zappa have worn them ... unfortunately, so have a lot of hipsters.

From what I gather, women tend not to like them, so you're probably not missing anything by skipping on the soul patch.

All the girls I know and had as girlfriends actually loved my soul patch and goatee. Mines rather soft for some reason, so no complaining about little stings when giving a kiss!

When I turned 16 I decided to let myself grow a soul patch combined with a goatee. I loved how it made me older. Back then ordering a drink never required showing my ID, but when I was clean cut, suddenly they asked. :p 
Aah well now I'm a few years older and I've added a shallow chin strap. This is to make my chin a bit less rounded. 

I've also tried mutton chops once, but most people disliked it and my girlfriend I had back in the day wasn't loving the sudden patch of roughness. She still loved the chinstrap, goatee and the soul patch luckily! Anyway I'm now happy with how my beard looks, perhaps I'll let my goatee grow a bit longer and when my beard has grown a bit fuller I can try a ringbeard. :)

I  have a mustache and goatee with chin straps and a soul patch. i plan to wait till they mature and then decide where to go from there. I doubt tht I will be without facial hair again.
