I would really like to grow a beard, but when I have tried in the past, it is thick in some places, and I mean really thick, but in spots I am completely bald. Is there some way to get the follicles in those areas to kick in?
I have never heard of a way to get the beard to fill in. However, if it is as thick as you say...at your age...then I am sure it will fill in as you get older. Sounds like a GREAT start. Keep it up.
Well how old are you?
Mine didn't fill in between patchy sideburns and goattee until my mid-40's.
Yeah, 25 is not a guarantee. Men mature at different rates, and we keep maturing way past when society would tell us.
Heck, I didn't have to shave till I was 27! And I've got a big beard, now
I had to start shaving when I was 12.
As a relatively new beard grower also, I would say that you need patience to get good growth. Don't be put off by bald patches or slow growth. Leave it alone! I spent the first few weeks examining it, cutting a bit here, a bit there. After about a month I sort of forgot it, got used to it, left it alone. Now it seems to be growing thicker, stronger.
I think the answer is to just let it go and see what happens after 2 months. You maybe pleasantly surprised.
