Throughout my life I've been aware that I'm just not comfortable with anything on my feet.  Going around barefoot in my home when growing up was met with ridicule and hostility ("You'll catch cold.",…Continue

I started going barefoot about five months ago, and I still have trouble on gravel. However, I am able to walk increasingly far on pavement.

Prefer going barefoot.  I remember in college some guys who would go barefoot to class all the time.  I remember wishing I could do that.  You could put your foot or toes in any position, or even scrunch them up to stretch them.  Can't do that with shoes on.  Can't crack the knuckle or scratch the bottom of you foot with shoes on.  In the Navy here so we have to wear those hard, heavy boots...oh well.

today is my first day barefoot, no VVFs or anything like that, just good old fashioned feet. Although i did bring sandals because i am at school today and don't want to walk into the bathrooms barefoot, that'd be kinda gross so that's the only time i've used them today. :D

Walking on the beach without shoes is most certainly the best way to enjoy being barefoot.

I also have the five fingers, they're great. All the feeling and comfort of barefoot without so much danger or risk.

Living in the south and being from a small town; when I was growing up we went everywhere but out to dinner, BAREFOOT. I still carry sandals in my car because I'm so used to being barefoot that I've driven across town (Houston) just to realize that I had no shoes.

Just ran 7 miles barefoot the other day after not being able to go running all winter. It was so nice to have some nice weather, ad to be able to go out for a nice little run.

The Great Debate

"Iron sharpens iron." A place for men to impact each other by debate and exchange of ideas. This is a group where no ideas are off limits. If your motto is, "I never talk about politics or religion," this group is probably not for you. A "gym" for thinkers.See More
