Howdy. I moved to Texas for the first time about 25 years ago, and spent most of my youth here. Once I became a young man I spent many years traveling and living all over the world. Well, I can tell ya'll without a doubt that I wouldn't rather live anywhere than Texas. But lord all mighty, how its grown.

San Antonio is my home, the Hill country is my playground, and oh how I love it.

I grew up in the Dallas area and then I lived in Lubbock for 2 years during college. You can't be told what West Texas wind is you must experience it for yourself. No matter what you are wearing the wind cuts right through it down to your bones.

After spending a couple of weeks in Lubbock my roommate and I were in our dorm watching the weather and they said there was a wind advisory for tomorrow. We were not used to the wind and thought we had been fighting heavy winds for the previous couple of weeks. Apparently that was nothing and tomorrow there was need for an advisory; we were quite interested to see what would warrant a wind advisory.

For those who don't know that West Texas wind is real!
