If you come to the Dallas State Fair, please come to the Grand Building, and look for me at the KitchenCraft booth, and introduce yourself!  I'm new to Dallas!

Way too many complexes and been way too long. If you were much younger I would tell you to look at the Village, but it has been a few years and it might have parts that are appealing for you guys as well.  It is a collection of multiple different complexes around a central area right off of Greenville Ave in Dallas.

Larry, I'd love to give you a couple of tips, but since I left Dallas in '89, I'm sure they wouldn't be much help.  LOL.  Good luck though, Brother.

Moving to Dallas, by the end of September.  My wife and I will be visiting the Dallas area, Aug 19-22, to find an apartment.  My wife will be attending Dallas Theological Seminary.  If anyone knows of any apartments in the area, preferably between Dallas & Plano, could you let me know?  Thanks!

Good morning! I'm a lifelong Texan. I was born in Jacksonville, and have lived in various places in East Texas. I've mostly stayed in the Dallas area though. DFW is what I consider home.

Good morning, everyone.  Even though I moved from Texas years ago, I'll always be a Texan.  Grew up in the greater DFW area (Weatherford, Cleburne), and graduated from Baylor.  I get down there whenever I can to visit (my folks still live there).  I'm happy to be part of the group.

Manly Mentors

Do you mentor? Have an interest in doing so? Want to connect with others who are making a positive difference in the lives of younger men? Mentoring is not for every man, but if you've felt the call... this is definitely YOUR group!See More

John replied to Thomas James's discussion Paying off a large credit card debt vs. settlement? Are there pros? How bad are the cons?
"I am not an expert in how folks do credit ratings, but I would say take the hit. I worked at one of the largest credit card issuers and I can tell you that people settling on accounts at a certain percent is done quite often. However, sometimes they…"

Paying off a large credit card debt vs. settlement? Are there pros? How bad are the cons?

I am going start with the disclaimer: Yes I realize the mistakes I have made to get to this point. As a results of a departure from a job and lifestyle I did not enjoy, and things "not going as well as forecasted" in my early 20s it appears I have accumulated a large debt on a credit card of mine.  The minimum payments are manageable, however don't really get me anywhere, too large of payments are over extending myself since I do have other financial obligations. These obligations are normal ones…See More
