Hmm maybe it's time this site got a Tarantula or Exotic Pets group. We'd have at least two members so far.

It is actually Aphonoleplam sp. "New River", it is native to New River, AZ (go fugure). It is very similar to the chalcodes. I have 2 chalcodes. Aphonopelma are my favorite.

Beautiful. Is it an A. chalcodes? I've always wanted one. Right now I just have my B. albopilosum, but that should hopefully be changing soon.

Sure is. I have 8 of them.

I lived in Prescott and Prescott Valley for 4 years. Now the military dictates my movements. Can't wait to move back to AZ!

Spending the next few years in Tucson as well. Originally from Phoenix. Great to see AZ representing some manliness here.

Thomas I feel your pain, I used to work my summers up there in Flag. But I'm in Tempe now.
